'Growing Bright Horses (Or How to Stretch Sorrow Over an Indeterminate Shape)' The work was developed using lucid dreaming processes and esoteric ritual. The process began on the 28th April 2010 and involved a series of intimate rituals, self hypnosis and sleep deprivation, which built towards the final work which was originally performed at the opening of the exhibition 'Join' at Floor Ten Gallery on 26 June 2010. The piece explores the order and fragility of both sanity and mortality. The resulting installation was left in situ for the duration of the exhibition as evidence of ritual... A film of the performance was shown at the Yogiga Express Gallery, Seoul, South Korea as part of the the Korean Experimental Arts Festival, 2010. |
